Sofia Elena Lara

Sofia Elena currently attends Dos Pueblos High School and is in the class of 2025. At the age of nine she was given the choice between violin and piano, her parents favoring the piano. As any child naturally would… She chose the violin. Since then she has grown to love the instrument and studied under numerous teachers, currently with Amy Hagen. She began performing with the Santa Barbara symphony youth ensembles at the age of 11 and is currently a member of the Santa Youth Symphony. She has studied up to level five repertoire under the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) and received state honors in certificatiate of merit. Outside of music she is a member of her schools mock Trial team, engineering academy, and on the girls golf team. She also enjoys volunteering at hearts therapeutic equestrian center. ​
